About

The mission of 4-H is to provide meaningful opportunities for all youth and adults to work together to create sustainable community change. The Barron County 4-H Leaders Association helps organize and support county-wide 4-H programs and activities, raises and distributes funds to support educational experiences and activities, provides leadership and support and helps to strengthen and expand 4-H programming for youth and volunteers, ensuring high standards of excellence in educational programs and events.

  • Volunteers work alongside youth, building youth-adult partnerships, teaching life skills and sharing valuable experiences.

Experience

Supporting Our Youth-4-H Leaders Association

  • The 4-H Leaders Association is led by 4-H volunteers/leaders with youth in mind.

  • Fundraising and donations support youth programming with:

  • Financial support for up to 50% of costs for 4-H experiences (local, state, and national trips, camps, State Fair participation, conferences, etc)

  • Funding for county programming and activities

  • Scholarship Opportunities

  • Youth and Leader Recognition

  • 4-H Scholarship Application 

    The  Barron County Scholarship Application is available to all 4-H youth meeting the listed criteria.  A minimum of 2-$500 scholarships will be given.  To be eligible for the Barron County 4-H Scholarship, you must:

    1. Be a member of 4-H for at least three years, currently enrolled and achieved in 4-H the previous year.

    2. Be graduating from 4-H in the current year.

    3. Be attending or planning to attend a 4-year college, 2-year technical college or other accredited post-secondary training program.

    Kathy Holten Memorial Scholarship

    One $500 scholarship will be awarded to an individual enrolled in the Barron County 4-Hprogram and planning to graduate from 4-H this year.
